6. Police integrity, values and honor

Article 45-Notification of any dishonourable act
45.1 Notification of any dishonorable act
Police officers in being a member of an honorable corp, are bound by the code of conduct and oath of the corp, to bring to attention such behaviour that dishonors the name and the integrity of the corp.
45.2 Code of silence as the most dishonorable of acts
The perpetuation of the falsity that the honor of the force is reflected in a silence towards fellow officers is the most dishonorable of acts for it directly contravenes the truth of the code of conduct and seeks to usurp and overthrow the true values and integrity of the force with false values.
Therefore such action as code of silence is far more dangerous than even being an accomplice to an act of dishonor as it is a direct attack on the heart of the honor and code of the force itself.
45.3 A duty to surrender to all acts of dishonor
A person who surrenders to his superiors upon having dishonored the force in some way can never be dishonorably discharged, for in surrendering without calling upon their fellow officers to notify their superiors and internal investigators of such breaches have saved the force from the dangers of silence and non reporting.
However a person who fails to surrender and an officer who fails to report an officer who so cowardly disgraces the code of the force is themselves guilty of dishonor and may be liable for a dishonorable discharge if the act of dishonor is a serious crime.
