| Article 05-The Police Code and Criminal Code | ||
| 5.1 | Police code and criminal code | |
| The Police Code of the Arabian Union shall be responsible for administering the code of conduct, functions and operations of law enforcement officials, whereas the Criminal Code shall be responsible for the conditions and rules of criminal law. | ||
| The Criminal Code depends in part upon the Police Code in the fair operation of law enforcement officials in the investigation of alleged criminal acts, the arrest of persons and the preparation of evidence/testimony for the hearing of charges and cases of accused persons. | ||
| Similarly, the Police Code in part depends upon the just operation of the Criminal Code in cases of certain breaches of the Police Code deemed as criminal acts. | ||
