2.1 Human life in general |

Article 59-Rights of an expectant human mother |
| 59.1 |
Rights of an expectant human mother |
| |
The rights of an expectant human mother mirror in part the deveopment of the rights of their unborn child. As the unborn child develops, its rights justly increase, justas the responsibilities of the mother and the accountability of her actions also increase. |
| |
Laws or belief systems that enforce life without any consideration of the quality of life shall always considered barbaric, cruel and against the very meaning of life they claim to cherish. Therefore, by this Code, only common sense and logic shall be permitted to be used in the forging of the rights of a human mother and their child. |
| 59.2 |
The rights of the unborn child may never exceed the rights of the mother |
| |
Notwithstanding the following elements of this article, the rights of the unborn child may never exceed the rights of the mother. This is both a recognition that the mother remains the host entity and the primary living entity and therefore has rights above the child, subject to the following clauses. |
| 59.3 |
3 stages of rights of an unborn human being |
| |
In recognition of the evolutionary stages of human development, an unborn human being is afforded increasing rights the further its development progresses towards representing a complete unborn human being in all function, appearance and potential. |
| |
1st stage- the rights of an unborn lifeform (day 1 to day 60) |
| |
2nd stage- the rights of an unborn human lifeform (day 60 to day 100) |
| |
3rd stage- the rights of an unborn human child (day 100 to birth) |
| |
Correspondingly, the rights of the mother to choose or not to choose to carry the child to full term diminish over time shile responsible care over the safety of the child increase. |
| 59.4 |
Right to choose to terminate a pregnancy in stage 1 |
| |
Under this code, it is a fundamental right of all pregnant women to choose to terminate a pregnancy under stage 1 (day 1 to day 60) if one or more of the following preconditions are met: |
| |
(i) The mother is under the age of 18, unmarried and not financially in a position to take care of a child; |
| |
(ii) The mother is over 18, single and in poor health; |
| |
(iii) The mother is over 18 and not financially capable of raising a child; |
| |
All other reasons, in particular lifestyle choices to end the life of an unborn lifeform is both morally and socially reprehensible. However, a choice to terminate in stage 1 should not carry any civil or criminal penalty. |
| 59.5 |
Right to choose to terminate a pregnancy in stage 2 |
| |
Under this code, the choice to terminate a pregnancy at stage 2 should only come on the basis of a significant medical issue of dire consequences. |
| |
At stage 2, technically an unborn fetus is now human in essential features, form and neural developing function. Therefore, no termination is considered valid unless on the basis of significant medical advice or because of a threat on the life of the mother. |
| 59.6 |
Stage 3 and full rights of the unborn child |
| |
At stage 3 (100 days to birth), an unborn child has full rights and in effect the right to life. Any action on the part of a mother that deliberately jearpordizes the healthy birth of their child technically enters the realm of potential homicide as at stage 3 an unborn child is granted the rights of a human being. |
