The Civil Law of Arabian Union |

The Civil Law of the Arabian Union consists of this present Code. All existing and new laws providing for civil responsibility are subject to inclusion in the present Code.

The present Code is based on the Constitution of Arabian Union and the generally recognized principles and norms of international law.

Structure of the Civil Code

The Civil Code is structured into chapters, which in turn are divided into articles and then one or more clauses within each article.

The major chapters of the Civil Code are:

While an article may belong to a particular chapter, the numbering of all articles is consecutive so that the entire body of articles of the Civil Code may be read as one, with or without the chapter headings. |
